Our Top Five Objectives:
1. To provide a complete garden package
at a fair price to folks who have always wanted a garden, but hate the torture and cost of buying the materials, tilling the
ground, building up the soil base, planting the plants, pulling the weeds, etc.
2. To provide construction, delivery and installation jobs for some of the underprivileged,
unemployed folks in our local communities.
3.
To provide a way for the hungry folks in our communities to maintain a sense of dignity and a level of self sustenance by
working a garden to feed themselves, rather than having to constantly rely on the compassion of others.
4. To provide a creative way for people who "have more than enough" to help
people across town who "don't". For every three gardens purchased by our compassionate customers, we will install
a FREE garden for an underprivileged family in our local community.
5. To help spread the influence and love of Jesus Christ throughout the communities
we serve.

Members of our Team are working
closely with leaders of community outreach organizations nationwide. The parent company of the "Garden and Give"
program is Connected to the Vine, Inc. borrowed from John 15:5 when Jesus said, "I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remains in Me, and I in him, he will bear
much fruit. Apart from Me he can do nothing."
The main charter of Connected to the Vine, Inc. is to collect food, clothing, books, computers, toys,
etc. and then quietly/anonymously deliver all we have gathered into the back door of small community churches to enable them
to minister to the needs of the people in the community.
We’re blessed to be connected
to so many fantastic God loving people nationwide. We are continuously working to align ourselves with non-denominational
Christian based outreach groups that provide for the less fortunate. For example, one of our Plano, Texas outreach groups
is working with a Pastor at a local community church to help feed between 800 and 1,100 underprivileged people every single
Friday. The Pastor and his church provide each person, and their family, with enough food for a week. Through this group we
are working to provide clothing, coats, blankets, Christmas toys and Thanksgiving dinner to anyone who is in need. We estimate
that through this community outreach program we help to serve over 3,000 people each month. And God has always provided. “It’s
definitely a God thing!”
What Is "Garden And Give" ?
Leveraging
from a concept called “Square Foot Gardening”, by Mel Bartholomew, we are taking community outreach and helping
to feed the needy to a whole new level. In the spirit of "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man
to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”, we have started a community outreach program that uses “Square Foot
Gardening” techniques to provide the underprivileged with food. This program is called “Garden and Give”.
In addition to helping folks grow their own food we are giving them a way to keep their
individual pride and integrity while they weather this current economic storm. Many people have simply given up. We believe
gardening can help in many areas given that it is both productive and therapeutic.
How
Will "Garden and Give" Help?
The concept is to sell "really nice, good looking, easy to maintain" gardens
at a very fair price into some of the more affluent areas of the cities we serve. For every three gardens bought by our Customers
we will install one FREE garden for an underprivileged family. Over 100 plants can be grown in each 4ft by 4ft garden. Using
this technique we use 80% less space than standard row gardens. The key is in the soil. A secret recipe! Plus no weeding or
tilling is required. To increase their productivity, these gardens can be used throughout the year with the planting of new
plants as the seasons change. Planting spring plants in the spring and fall plants in the fall will keep the garden active
and producing during the entire growing season!
Whether a garden kit is bought or
given away for FREE we do offer installation services. Upon placing an order for a Garden Kit and Installation Services a
trained and trusted installation team will travel to the Customer's home, build the raised garden bed, prepare the garden
soil for planting, plant the seeds, provide watering and harvesting instructions, provide seasonal planting suggestions, etc.
We also offer Garden Kits without installation services for Customers who want to do it all themselves.
In addition to buying a garden for themselves and providing FREE gardens for the underprivileged, our Customers
also provide employment to recently unemployed workers who build and install the gardens within their local communities. We
are currently operating "Garden and Give" programs in Plano, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Springfield, Missouri.
Plus, we will have pilot programs up and running soon in Houston, Texas and Denver, Colorado.

Our goal is to sell over 1,500 gardens
(500 in each of the three operational cities) in 2010. This will allow us to provide over 500 FREE gardens for the underprivileged
people in these communities. We can scale each of these operations to do more if necessary.
Does "Garden and Give" Make A Profit?
Each and every penny we earn is given back to God through
the folks we serve.

In Isaiah 58:10-11 the Bible says, "Feed the hungry!
Help those in trouble! Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you shall be as bright as
day. And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too; and you will
be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring."
